In 2022, Browzwear has released two new versions of the VStitcher 3D program: 2022.1 and 2022.2. Many of the new functions are visible to the user.

Integration with the Unreal Engine is a significant reform in VStitcher version 2022.1. It makes the lights and shadows more realistic in 3D view. The simulation in 3D view is corresponds almost to the finished, rendered garment. The integration requires Nvidia with RTX graphic card to operate. Browzwear has improved 3D view to be more realistic also the users who don’t have that graphic card on their computer.

In addition, there is new Alpha channel which helps you to create for example lace and other sheer materials and prints. All materials that are sheer allover or partly can be created with Alpha channel. Diffuse map can include Alpha map in which case VStitcher shows it automatically in Alpha channel. You can create or edit Alpha map.

Some fabrics in the Browzwear Asset Library have been tested with FAB analyzer by Browzwear. There is an orange watermark on these materials in Physics. If user changes the values of the fabric the watermark change it color to the grey.

Browzwear has made the newest VStitcher version 2022.2 even more advanced. Old functions have been improved. There are also some brand-new functions for the users. For example, search engine which enables you to search information inside Browzwear Help Center without exiting VStitcher.

You can rotate pattern pieces horizontally or vertically using piece edges. Just select on edge or two points from the edge and use Rotate Piece By Edge function.

If you use graded pattern pieces there are some new improvements for you. Now you can grade the location of the 3D Trim manually. This way you can, for example, adjust the position of the buttons the way you like. Also, you can control the position of the fabric texture of the garment between sizes.

There are few new functions in the 3D Object Export Settings.  Now you can export quads topology with the garment. Weld Stitches combines different garment pieces into one. Both functions are useful if you edit exported garments on third part software. Weld Stitches feature is only available for garments.
